Chavet, probably French artist mid 20th century,"A River Landscape in the Rolling French Hills", 9 1/4" x 13", scene from a wooden hillside looking down at a river bend, cultivated land and buildings on the left river bank, rolling hillside to the background, signed F. Chavet and dated 1966 in the lower right corner front. CA number 3876, CA purchase form a regional British auction house January 2022.
The painting has been cleaned and varnished. It is framed with a 3/4" white linen liner and 1 1/2" rustic veneered scoop moulding. less
