Original expressionist still life floral oil painting on canvas. This bold and colorful painting captures the vibrancy and energy of a local flower market I visited. I was inspired by the many colors and artful shapes that occupied the space and then rendered that experience on canvas.
The painting was developed over several weeks with an emphasis on simplifying the shapes and exaggerating colors. I like line as a "container" for color it seems to hold
the expression in a way that resonates with my core.
This contemporary painting is unique and full of textural gestures and variation in the brushwork. The oil painting was created on a gallery wrapped canvas that is signed and ready to be framed. less
