This really is a Great Looking Original Matching Set of Antique American Balance Scale Weights. Circa Late 19th Century. The Set consists of 7 Assorted Size & Increments Ranging from 1/2 Ounce to 2 Pounds. It also has its Original Mahogany Wood Stand - Rack. These types of weights were Commonly Used by Numerous Types of Merchants to Weigh Groceries, Meats, Fish, Poultry, Fruits, Grains & Seed Etc. The Weights are Made - Cast in Solid Brass and are Nickel Plated. Note that some of them are Stamped with an Assortment Assayer Markings. This Fine Quality Completely Hand Made Set. The Set is in Very Good Original - Exactly as They Have Survived Over the Years Condition. They have been Used Extensively for Many Years and giving the set a Wonderful Honest Aged Look & Patina.
