It measures 5 1/4" x 9" x 1" and the inner tray holds a notepad of up to 4" x 6" (or shorter; NOTE: the notepad and pen are just props and are not included in the sale). While the concept of landlines may seem dated, a notepad is great for jotting down messages, phone numbers, and grocery lists or errands and to-dos in busy households. It also makes an elegant and refined statement piece on a mid-century modern desk. The maker's mark has been torn in half on the bottom, but a guess would be "Ernest John Wood" as it resembles many of his handcrafted wares and accessories from that era. See less
