They were lowered and raised by chain and pulley. These weights would counterbalance the chandelier. Probably used in a high ceiling church or home.
Measures 7” long, by 3 ¼” wide. Ornately cast and some traces of paint. Each weigh over 6 pounds. Will not find another pair!
