There is plenty of open storage just above the drawer. The overall height of the nightstand is 28 inches. The height of the tabletop, not including the tray-lip, is actually 26.75 inches. The nightstand is in good vintage condition with minor nicks and scuffs to the finish and the possibility of a varied patina to the brass drawer pull.
