Decorate a console or a buffet with these spelter decorative figurines. Crafted in France circa 1880 and resting on bronze dore bases ending with scrolled feet, these cheerful spelter statues depict two playful young boys. One carries books under his arm with his other arm lifted above his head, while the other holds a small toy in his hand with a thin piece of metal drawn to his other hand to symbolize a string. Both are dressed in traditional 19th-century school boy garb These detailed statues are in excellent condition, with a rich patinated finish over gilt bronze bases. These two happy, laughing boys would enliven any room in your home with a touch of beautiful, old world style. The figures could also be converted into elegant table lamps.
