A noted artist, designer, and founder of Scuda, Robert Van Allen (1939 - 1983) was known for his vibrant pop art, screen printing, and home furnishings. He designed tableware for Mikasa, fabric for Cohama, flatware for Stanley Roberts, and lighting fixtures for George Kovacs.

The genuine circa 1970s vintage cloth placemats are in good condition showing wear consistent with their age and use. Please note that one placemat has an obvious stain as shown in the photographs, and two other have tiny brown spots from storage.
