The essential Cuilko design by Pierre Frey of the Maya collection is inspired by the basic plant element found throughout Latin America: the CACTUS. Handled in a distinctive, atypical way, the cactus in this pattern is "softened" and enhanced through various printing and techniques. The linen backing gives this motif a light fluidity, a delicate drape and a very pleasant hand. Through the watercolor effect of the printed drawing, and make it somehow resembles to an old master's painting.
Details:
Handcrafted in both sides using 100% medium weight cotton linen canvas fabric, UV protected and mildew resistant.
The front side uses a different pattern in each piece.
I have compliment the reverse side with its matching Pierre Frey Cotton Linen fabric. A colorful geometric print gives you two different choices in the same design.
I decorated all the seams with a stunning pistachio green piping or cording border, PROFESSIONALLY handcrafted to embellish and highlight the pillow, and sewn on both edges: I cover a Medium thick cotton cord by hand with a cotton fabric. I put my labor at the junction of the cord that the pipping looks like a continuous visual line (no end ) on the outside of the seam and instead do NOT see TWO LINES (two ends).
Easy removal and perfect termination with a matching ZIPPER, sewn at the bottom.
Professionally finished for durability: interior seams are over locked.
To give an impeccable finished I use “My Vaporette” professional steam ironing and a miniature board.
Size:
17x17 inches/ 43x4 cm without piping, fit perfectly for an insert 18x18 inches.
This size is an approximation and is not an exact measurement. There may be a slight variation due to the material. It can be stretched more or less.
The finished dimensions in all my covers are always slightly smaller than the pillow inserts; creating a form-fitting designer pillow that is nice and plump.
Pillow inserts are not included.
Care Instructions:
Dry Clean.
Use a fabric over the pillow to iron it, without doing this will damage the fabric.
