Circa 1855 – 1899 Antique bronze clock made by Japy Frères, France
A lovely sweet chime sounds on the half-hour in this Antique clock made by Japy Freres, France. The French movement is by Japy Frères and is of the makers usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video below to hear the bell and watch the clock running. Clock measurements: 17" tall to tip of finial, 12" wide and 7 inches front to back on the base from foot edge to foot edge. Weight is 12 lbs approx.

Movement with the manufacturer's stamp from 1855 by Japy Frères & Cie
On the back surface of the mechanism there is a stamp A.1 in an oval, the manufacturer's mark, a serial number and one more sign (see photo)
Each part of this clock is marked "LR" on the inner surface and the same number 13136
