A very fine French 19th century Louis XVI style freestanding Cheval mirror. The oval framed mirror is surrounded with Empire style barbola gilt wreaths frame, flanked by twin supports decorated with carved urn surrounded with pierced garlands carvings, on a typical empire ornate base with decorations emblematic to the French Empire reign. Paris, circa 1860-1870. A truly magnificent and very impressive mirror in very good original condition.
Mirror stands 75 inches tall x 34" in width. Mirror ir 24"W x 57"H
