We are selling this nice Dutch oil on panel painting by Paul Jean Clays (1819-1900). This painting features a scene he painted in several forms of anchored ships being approached by a small rowboat. The painting is signed in the lower right P J Clays. The reverse of the walnut panel has what appears to be an Auction Catalog remnant which includes Lot 51 along with description and title "Dutch Boats Becalmed."
Condition: Good, panel has been re-framed in modern framing.
