- A pair of French Louis XVI style painted wood berg'res ' oreilles from the 19th century, with carved ribbon motifs … more A pair of French Louis XVI style painted wood berg'res ' oreilles from the 19th century, with carved ribbon motifs and upholstery. Created in France during the 19th century, each of this pair of berg'res features a wingback topped with a carved ribbon, flanked with petite finials adorning the upper twisted rail. The two arms, providing convenient privacy to the sitter, showcase scrolled extremities accented with acanthus leaves. The chairs are upholstered with a French fabric while their seats each comprises of a custom cushion. Raised on fluted legs with carved rosettes on the knees, the berg'res present carved aprons. Painted in a soft color complimenting the classical lines beautifully, this pair of French 19th century Louis XVI style wingback berg're chairs will bring a touch of refinement to any living room or bedroom.
