- This vintage Davis Cabinet Company “Commode a la Regence,” is a solid cherry, distressed finish five drawer French reproduction from … more This vintage Davis Cabinet Company “Commode a la Regence,” is a solid cherry, distressed finish five drawer French reproduction from their Antique Adaptations line, #95147. There are four locking drawers and a small fifth compartment which does not lock. This handsome chest is 48” wide x 32” high x 23” deep. It has ornate, finely detailed reproduction solid brass hardware, keyed locks and a “secret” compartment. It is in excellent vintage condition, dating from the 1980’s. The cabinet company’s website indicates that in the 1980’s it was selected to provide furniture for the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France. less
