That means the piece is permanently fixed upon purchase so it’s free of watermarks, chips or deep scratches with color loss, as well as thoroughly cleaned and any moving parts (such as doors, drawers, etc., if applicable) are tested for smooth function - all of this is done at no additional cost to you, but may take longer to ship than if you choose not to take this option. Our current lead time on this restoration service is 4-6 weeks. We appreciate your patience during this time and will do our best to keep you informed throughout the process, including sending you photos of your piece for your approval before it ships. If you would like to order this piece WITHOUT restoration, please let us know and we will make sure it bypasses our restoration queue and can therefore ship out to you sooner. The exact shipping lead time will depend on a variety of factors that are constantly changing, so please contact us if you have any personal deadlines and we will let you know if we can meet them. ABOUT PHOTOS: We take our photos in a controlled lighting studio to show as much detail as possible. We do not photoshop out blemishes.
CONDITION: Due to our restoration shop being overwhelmed with mid century pieces, for the foreseeable future, all of our contemporary furniture is sold in the same condition as the day it was photographed in our studio. This means that unlike our mid century furniture, we do NOT automatically send our contemporary furniture through the restoration process, therefore it is not subject to our normal restoration lead times. So when you order contemporary pieces from us, they can often ship out to you a lot faster than normal. Currently we estimate that time to be within 4 to 6 weeks, but if this detail is really important to you, please contact us for an updated time estimate before ordering. See the "Shipping" section below for more details.
Even so, when you purchase a contemporary piece, we still devote a lot of attention to detail to carefully clean, wrap, and pack it for safe transport during shipping; plus we keep you fully informed throughout the whole purchasing process - because we want you to be happy with your purchase and tell everyone how easy it is to buy good quality furniture from us at Modern Hill.
SHIPPING: The shipping price here covers shipping to anywhere within the 48 contiguous U.S. States. Since our contemporary furniture does not automatically go through the same restoration process as our mid century furniture, most of our contemporary pieces can ship within a faster 4 to 6 weeks, depending on which of our shippers are going to your area of the country at what time. Our shipping lead times are constantly changing, so if the exact time is a concern for you, please contact us before ordering to ask about what the current lead times are.
