Each … more This Antique One-of-a-Kind Hand Painted 7 Piece Hutschenreuther Selb Berry Bowl Set is signed by the artist E. Battle.
Each bowl is unique and has a different detailed design of berries and leaves.
The large serving bowl measures 9 1/4" in diameter and 2 5/8" tall. The small berry bowls are 5 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/8" tall.
The painted designs are well executed and charming with an Art Nouveau flair. Each bowl is rimmed in gold leaf.
The Hutschenreuther Selb porcelain is finely made in Bavaria, Germany and came blank, then E. Battle painted these designs. It's a completely one of a kind set.
Made about 1919, this set is antique and in very good condition. There are three small flaws - 2 tiny indents in the large bowl base (a glaze flaw I think), a tiny chip in the large bowl's gold gilt rim, and a chip on one small bowl's rim. I have photographed these flaws in the last 3 images.
