- Vintage; C.1970's Italian Modernist, hand-blown original (Luigi Mandruzzato) for Vetri, is this gorgeous and ethereal, faceted vase and/or decorative accent … more Vintage; C.1970's Italian Modernist, hand-blown original (Luigi Mandruzzato) for Vetri, is this gorgeous and ethereal, faceted vase and/or decorative accent piece in a soothing color combination of taupe tan to brown with yellow amber accent color, and clear outer. Luigi is the Grandfather of Allessandro Mandruzzato, another well-known Murano Glass producer/Artist. It is pediment or 5-sided shaped, facet cut piece with polished sides top and polished pontil base bottom. Luigi's is best known, as his work is characterized within the Mid-Century period; of producing Geometric and Cubic-shaped Murano Glass pieces, in an asymmetrical and Symmetrical shaped vessels/vases and decorative accent pieces seminal to the period, then and now, with color combinations and polished, faceted sides. He belongs to a family of Murano Glass Producer's Notable in it's auspices form C.1934 on. No chips, breaks nor flea bites. In excellent shape, with a minor scratch, so minute does not detract from the overall look whatsoever. From a Boca Raton, Florida Estate.
