Each light bulb can … moreThe fixture has been rewired to meet US electrical standards and takes six candelabra light bulbs. Each light bulb can use up to a maximum of sixty watts. We recommend using LED lights because they help preserve the antique fixture longer. Antique fixtures may have to be adapted to modern houses. This fixture requires a canopy and chain that are not included to hang from the ceiling. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics on installing antique fixtures. It is all bronze with the exception of the thin brass extensions at the top (see images). The extensions holding the crystal pendeloques are thin brass that can snap off if the chandelier is handled improperly. There is wear in the brass extensions. The bronze has light scratches and a rich patina. There are no repairs. It is all intact. No crystals are missing. It has an assortment of crystals: 12 kite-shaped at the top, 6 teardrop near the top ball, 12 scalloped + 6 almond-shaped on the arms, 12 small teardrop on the bobeches (2 each). A small smooth ball at the top and a larger faceted ball at the bottom. TOTAL=50 crystals. The distressed wooden candle sleeves can be replaced with sleek white ones to give it a more modern look. less

This chandelier plays to the Neoclassical style with its grandeur of scale, geometric forms, and symmetry. The entirety is cast from bronze and holds six lights. Each candlestick sits on bronze bobeches with meticulously placed cutouts for the light to shine through. The arms are straight, however, there is a curling acanthus leaf underneath each bobeche. The light playfully bounces off the different shapes of crystal pendeloques, creating a lovely glow. Mimicking the arms, the column has acanthus leaf ornaments that bloom from the bottom. From a triangular geometric top, extensions dangle crystal kite prisms. Like the crystal ball that dangles beautifully from the bottom, there is a miniature one that hangs at the top. Overall, this chandelier has been spectacularly crafted with attention to detail making it an interesting illuminant in any setting. less
