Description
Sketch for a Sign is a very graceful drawing representing the sign of a bar. This artwork made by an … more Sketch for a Sign is a very graceful drawing representing the sign of a bar. This artwork made by an anonymous artist in the first half of the 20th century was applied on a slightly darker cardboard (12.5 x 9.5 cm). The state of preservation is good, although there is a fungal foxing on the back of the cardboard. In the drawing, there are some inscriptions in pencil, incompletely readable: “Biere Vienne” at the top, and “Fonta /Hall…” at the bottom. The artwork is overall very pleasant. The sign, in the shape of an emblem, indicates the entrance of the bar with various characters and a hostess in Tyrolese costume, and is decorated with flowers and plants. A genre scene typical of the Austrian culture and taste of that historical period. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork. less

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
