The … Read more A rare tea service consisting of a teapot, creamer and sugar bowl, 2 cake serving dishes and 4 cups. The shape of the teapot, creamer and cups starts of as a square at the bottom and transform fluently into a circle at the top. All pieces features monochrome glazes in burnt/caramel orange, creme pastel and dark brown/almost black. This set was designed by one of the most prolific midcentury female designers nanna ditzel in the late 1960s. It was only manufactured for a couple of years by søholm in denmark. Most of the pieces are stamped: design: nanna ditzel and most of them feature the design number in overglaze as well. Measurements: cups/creamer: h: 8 cm, d: 8 cm, sugar bowl: w/d: 14 cm, h: 4.5 cm, cake dishes: 31/23.5 cm. The teapot has a capacity of 0.7 liter and the measurements are provided below.
