This Pierre Mabille rare vintage 1988 Postmodern fine art silkscreen print custom framed French exhibition poster is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The silkscreen print poster is published by The Galerie L'Oeil Lyon, printed in France in 1988 by Michael Woolworth Publications in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition. It features a Postmodern Abstract Expressionist style artwork image by the artist Pierre Mabille.
Pierre Mabille ( B. 1958 ) is a French Postwar Contemporary artist, poet, and arts educator of color theory at The National School of Decorative Arts in Paris. The lyrical abstractions are based on concepts that Abstract Art is not created from the absence of a subject, but on the contrary from its recurrence. Art works by Mabille have been exhibited by and included in the collections of many prestigious international galleries and museums.
Michael Woolworth ( B. 1960 ) is an American born master fine art publisher and printer based in Paris. He trained with the grandson of the famous French printer and lithographer Fernand Mourlot. Woolworth established his atelier in 1985 specializing in lithography techniques, wood and linocuts, monotypes, etchings, screen prints and multiples, all exclusively on hand presses. The fine art print works are well respected highly coveted Contemporary works of art.
The rare out of print fine art silkscreen print framed French exhibition poster measures 30 1/2" w X 23 1/4" H X 1 1/2" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass on an off white matt backing, top mounted float presentation, in a Contemporary Modern natural white oak wood box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling.
