Created by Judson Rothschild for The Rothschild Collection -2006 © Of overall Italian rococo design manufactured out of American Hard Maple with rubbed ebonized finish highlighted with antiqued parcel gilt and silvered detail, the rectangular top with scalloped edge and outset rounded corners inset to each end with a sculpted circular medallion with foliate center surrounded by circular fan and lobed carving, with foliate spandrels, each with a beveled diamante glass top, all above a waved frieze carved with foliate clasps, on deep cabriole legs ending in hoof feet.
I wanted to create a piece that literally pays homage to all the incredible carvers in the world. They spend all their time creating details that most of us take for granted. This was my way of showcasing their skills. less
