A beautiful deep indigo-dyed panel bought in Kyoto Japan at an antique store. It is in the resist technique depicting a crane and a tortoise which are symbols for good fortune, longevity, and enduring power.
It is made of 2 narrow panels hand-stitched together in the center before painting and dying and has hand-stitched hems on either end. A handsome wallhanging or could be beautiful framed.
