Beautiful, handcrafted, French, farmhouse side table/ small coffee table on tapered legs,
from the late 50's - early 60's.

Made of solid wood with a rich, dark brown-colored finish tinged with hues of burnt umber, this vintage
piece is unlike other stools, as no nails were used to attach the legs. Instead, they can be inserted, then screwed into place by hand, under the seat. (The legs will be disassembled for shipping purposes.)
Piece is in wonderful, original condition as it has clearly been well-preserved over the years. The seat has maintained its natural wood grain and form, and the color, its rich, original patina. Typically, stool seats like this are simply round. This one has a design that was carved into the edges, making it that much more unique.
Light signs of age and use, commensurate with time on the seat and legs . Minuscule airline on the top as wood is not new (see photos), but nothing that takes away from its charm or beauty( see photos) Patina consistent with age, use and time.
Both sturdy, stable and functional, this fantastic, rustic piece of craftsmanship, is perfect to use as originally intended: side table or even a plant stand.
