- These plates are in pristine condition. There are no chips, no scratches, no cracks and no crazing. There are slight … moreThese plates are in pristine condition. There are no chips, no scratches, no cracks and no crazing. There are slight manufacturing defects to the gold edge border on the Western Hemisphere Plate, on the right side. (Shown in photographs) On the same plate, the “E” in WESTERN is out of focus. And I noticed, on this same plate that Central America is spelled: “Cenual”. That is all I found, looking. They are very subtlety colorful … more This is a set of two diminutive porcelain plates of the Western and Eastern Hemispheres. They are very subtlety colorful as a globe. I date these in the 1930’s due to the mapping of Prussia (which changed in 1935 to Iran) and The Union of Soviet Soc. Rep (which changed to Russia in 1936). I find these delightfully unique and precious. less
