This artwork "Landscape with Boat and House, California" is a watercolor by California artist Catherine Rubino Eaton Baca, 1907-1978. It is hand signed and dated at the lower right corner by the artist. The image size is 17 x 23 inches, framed size is 25 x 31 inches. Framed in original dark wood and gold frame. It is in very good condition.
About the artist:
Born in Oakland, CA on Jan. 18, 1907. Catherine Rubino studied at the CCAC and with Phil Paradise. She was a resident of Oakland and active in the San Francisco Bay area through the early 1960s. After the death of her husband, Chelsey Eaton, she wed Antonio Baca in the 1950s. She later moved to Taos, NM where she remained until her demise on Oct. 13, 1978.
