This Amadeo Modigliani rare vintage 1950 limited edition French lithograph print " Schoene Spanierin " 1918, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The authentic lithograph print is printed in France in 1950 in an unnumbered limited edition by Les Editions Du Chene Paris, as part of a French portfolio of limited edition lithograph prints. It features an artwork image originally created by Modigliani in 1918 - 1919 titled " Schoene Spanierin ".
Amadeo Clemente Modigliani ( 1884 - 1920 ) was an Italian born Expressionist painter and sculptor of a Sephardic Jewish background, who worked mainly in France. Known for his portraits and nudes in a Modern style characterized by elongation of faces and figures. The outstanding unclassifiable artworks are widely considered to be some of the most important early Modern artworks ever created. Art works by Modigliani are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The lithograph print plate image measures 7" W X 10 7/8" H, on a page backing that is 11" W X 14 7/8" H. The print plate is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand to the page on the left side edge. Behind the print image on the page backing are details about the original artwork.
The rare out of print French lithograph print is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling to the page backing. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
