This Paul Cezanne rare vintage 1989 offset lithograph print Postimpressionist museum poster " Oranges Sur Une Assiette " 1900, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The offset lithograph print poster is published by Mirage Editions Inc. for The Philadelphia Museum of Art. Printed in 1989 in an unnumbered limited edition, graphic design copyright MEI. It features an artwork image originally created by Cezanne in 1900 titled " Oranges Sur Une Assitte " ( Oranges on a Plate ), from The Mr. and Mrs. Carroll S. Tyson Collection at The Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Paul Cezanne ( 1839 - 1906 ) was a French artist and Postimpressionist painter who laid the foundations of the transition from 19th Century conception of artistic endeavor to a new and radically different world of art in The Twentieth Century. Cezanne is said to have formed the bridge between Late 19th Century Impressionism and The Early 20th Century new line of artistic inquiry. Both Matisse and Picasso are said to have remarked that Cezanne " Is the father of us all ". Art works by Cezanne are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print museum poster measures 32" W X 24" H. It is printed on high quality heavyweight paper stock with a satin finish.
