- This is one heck of a piece of history. It's at least early 20th century, possibly late 19th. The metal … more This is one heck of a piece of history. It's at least early 20th century, possibly late 19th. The metal has a ever so slightly pitted patina, the (of all things!) wooden handle has worn spots. Wood was used in "classier" houses for handles and such prior to the use of plastic. Which tells you it's age. The carvings on the handle and spout are elaborate and beautiful. The lid top is also wood. I'm going to let you go to the pictures now. less
