This set of twelve (12) authentic 18th century copperplate engravings by Joseph Jacob Plenck (Austria/Germany 1735-1807) depict twelve different medicinal plants. These imperial folio size engravings are printed on handmade "laid" paper on one side only. They were printed in Vienna, Austria in 1794 for "Icones Plantarum Medicinalium". Great for one HUGE wall treatment or several smaller groupings. Dimensions: 12.5" x 18". Excellent condition.
