This extraordinary antique, 17th century, gate-leg table, found in India, features an egg-and-dart rim on the oval, drop-leaf top. The stout, barley-twist legs support double, barley-twist box stretchers with rosette blocks, and terminate on stout, onion feet with unusually slender ankles. Each end of this piece houses a drawer with robustly carved, floral fronts. A highly useful, decorative and adaptable piece, this is also a rare antique find.
