Born in France in the late 19th century, most likely Provincial, handcrafted of solid walnut in Louis XIII taste. The two-piece stepback cabinet features a wide cornice surmounted upper display cabinet with single glazed glass door, opening to red felt lined interior shelves, accented by fluted pillars. The lower case fitted with a frieze drawer with patinated metal pulls over paneled cupboard door, flanked by turned columns, over wide stepped base molding, rising on substantial bun feet.
