It is not the name of any single company or producer and is usually applied to craft objects of excellent workmanship produced between the mid and late nineteenth century. The makers are in some cases obscure and generally unknown or have created only a few and rare pieces. Antique porcelain objects from Paris are the most desired by collectors and are present in many museums around the world. In the reigning period of Napoleon III (1852-1870) there is a real revival of past styles such as the first empire, but the eclecticism that characterized the period, made it more graceful, refined and elegant by inserting neo-gothic, neo-renaissance and oriental elements; our teapot belongs precisely to this aesthetic current. The teapot is in good condition, in some parts the pure gold appears slightly worn, but this makes the object much more fascinating and historically interesting. Measures width cm.30, depth cm.15, height cm.21. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects. less
