This is an outstanding set of Westmorland antique cut glass from the Edwardian to Art Deco Transitional Era. It includes an open sugar bowl for sugar cubes, a sugar bowl with lid for granulated sugar and a creamer. All three pieces have traditional trophy handle shapes. All three have octagonal bases that extend upward into a trumpet shape. Where each of the sides meet to make a sharp edge, facets are cut in alternating pattern of two horizontal and one vertical oval up the sides of each piece. The fronts and backs of the sugar bowls feature a floral shape with three faceted lines radiating outward between each faceted blossom. The creamer has this design on three of it's sides instead of the two found on the sugar bowls. The eight sides of the open sugar bowl extend up and outward into a rounded scalloped edge, with two additional triangular scallop points in front of each handle. The lid on the covered sugar bowl mirrors the eight sides of the base and has the faceted alternating oval cuts at all eight edges. Inside all pieces one will find a star shape with the older Westmorland mark in the center, indicating vintage of 1910-1929.
