This vintage elephant folio size lithograph (offset) poster after the listed German artist
Angelo Jank (Germany 1868-1940) advertises a play or opera "Unterwelt" ("Underworld"). Yhe image depicts a masked figure battling the three headed dog Cerberus that, according to Greek mythology, guards the entrance to the underworld. Lightly tacked down on one side on to a larger sheet. Signed in the plate. It was printed by St. Martin's Press in the USA in 1971. Printed on one side only. Only the lithograph is for sale.
