This " Ellsworth Kelly in San Francisco " rare first edition signed Modernist collector's hardcover exhibition art book is an incredibly special and unique book to add to your library collection.
The hardcover book with black linen covered boards, monochrome embossed cover titles, and dust jacket is published by The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and University of California Press, Berkley, Los Angeles & London. Printed in Belgium in 2002 on the occasion of the exhibition, authored by Madeline Grynsztein. The book is hand signed by the artist on the inside front cover page.
Ellsworth Kelly ( 1923 - 2015 ) is an American born Minimalist color field Modernist painter. His work emphasizes line, color, and form. The experimental bold artworks are considered to be some of the most important Modern paintings of The Twentieth Century. Art works by Kelly are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print 1st edition signed collector's Modernist art book measures 10" W X 12" H X 1/2" D, with 94 pages, featuring 58 illustrations.
