The base is marked "Bavienthal." Our research dates this mark to the 1930's.
The figurine is approximately 4" in height with a 2.5" square bottom footprint.

- Beautifully preserved condition, no chips or cracks. The figurine makes a delightful ringing noise when lightly struck. There is a … moreBeautifully preserved condition, no chips or cracks. The figurine makes a delightful ringing noise when lightly struck. There is a tiny seperation at the mold mark which happened at the factory production level (the last two photos.) There is also some sort of mystery bubbling on top of the glaze, it can be seen in the photographs. This looks to have been an imperfection during the porcelain firing or glazing process as it feels like part of the piece. It does not feel like dried glue, under direct magnification you can see the bubbling and crazing at the porcelain surface level. These could be manufacturing defects called "Glaze Pop" or "Glaze Skip" or a combination of both. This glaze defect does not take away from the piece but we wanted to call it out for closer inspection, the photos tell a good story. less
