The cerulean, craquelee lamp base is in fantastic condition. The gilded pedestal has some fading gilding (see photos). It is highly recommended to rewire the lamp and replace the electrical parts seen its age. Lamp has not been tested.

The Marbro Lamp Company was established by the brothers Markoff shortly after World War II in Los Angeles. The parts for their lamps were sourced all over the world (Italy comes to mind), but the lamps itself were assembled in their LA shop.
In 1987 the company was bought by the Masco Corp. but the assemblage continued in Los Angeles until the plant was closed in 1990.
This very large table lamp has an extraordinary turquoise blue color and is finished in gold details. The ceramic part of the lamp is made of 2 separate parts on a gilded pedestal.
