The lid has embossed decorative scrolling and small flowering plants that surround a very detailed bird with long tail feathers. It has a brass ring for easy opening and closing.

The pan measures 11 1/4" in diameter and is 3 1/4" high. The overall length from the front of the pan to the end of the nicely turned handle is 43." The pan and lid hinge have been fixed with copper riveting.

On the outside lid, there is a small dent near the bird's head. Inside the pan, there are two cracks and a couple of voids where the brass has worn through. There are use marks, scratches and small chips on the handle.

The overall weight of the bed warmer is 3 lbs., 10 ounces.
