Untitled river scene framed original oil painting on canvas by Nikolo Balkanski. Hand signed by the artist, bottom right. Framed Size: 17" x 21", Image Size: 10" x 14". Circa 1991. Frame is not new and may have some minor wear. Painting appears to be in excellent condition. 100 percent guarantee of authenticity. Certificate of Authenticity is included.
Nikolo Balkanski held his first one-man show at age 21 in his native country of Bulgaria. He studied fine art in Finland and Bulgaria. The exhibition featured portraits of prominent national figures from that country. He became widely exhibited in Bulgaria, Finland, Sweden, England, France and the United States, before settling in America.
Currently, Balkanski is a resident of Lakewood, Colorado, and is regarded as an inspirational teacher and mentor to artist's. Balkanski's work has been exhibited with Artist's of America, the Colorado Governor's Invitational, where he received the Collector's Choice Award in 1999, Great American Artists, Artists of the West, and Arts for the Parks, where he won Best Landscape in 1995.
