Carved wood free form sculpture, circa 1973. Excellent hand carved solid Maple or Birch Organic Modern abstract sculpture. The artist has rendered open spaces and pierced areas to create intriguing affects of shadowing, contrasts of light and dark, and volume and void. A wonderful period piece that has sensuous curves and a smooth tactile quality. Initialled and dated, LLM, 73.
Good overall condition with naturally occurring minor drying splits and separations to the wood. Minor scuffs and bruising. Old, darker patina.
