This delightful decanter was part of my mother’s afternoon ritual, a glass of sherry and a ciggy. A sherry decanter was a must have in English homes in the 50’s. This decanter was bought in the best-known jewelry store in Newcastle. I believe it was made to order. The decanter is marked with the number 3 and the topper is marked with the number 20.
The beautiful mushroom shaped topper is solid glass, the grapes and leaves etching is lovely, it looks even nicer when the decanter has Sherry, Port, Wine, Liquor or just water to put by your guest bedside table, it will also looks fantastic in your bar.
I did unintentionally hit the bottom of the topper with my camera while photographing and caused a small damage. It is minimal and you cannot see it with the topper in. Please look at the picture before last to see it. I have taken that into consideration in the price.
