Sip in style with these luxe mid century silver plated goblets, by the Rogers Bros. They were originally designed for beauty and entertainment...and they certainly offer both. They can be used to serve cocktails, beverages, or even desserts. They have heavy, solid metal, silver plated bodies with scroll work adorning the bases. The undersides are marked "1847 Rogers Bros".
About WM Rogers: William Hazen Rogers was an American master silversmith and a pioneer in the silver-plate industry and whose work and name have survived to the present day. Rogers – together with his two brothers and, later, his son – was responsible for more than 100 patterns of silver and silver-plated cutlery and serving dishes. His designs are known for being influenced by Louis XIV-style patterns of the 17th and 18th century in France. Rogers partnered with other silversmiths at times, and his company and trademarks were eventually taken over by larger companies.
