This Mark Rothko rare vintage 2002 Abstract Expressionist lithograph print custom framed Modernist poster " White Cloud Over Purple " 1957, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Modernist poster print is published by Wizard & Genius - Idealdecor, AG AM SEE/ Zurich, printed in Switzerland in 2002 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features an artwork image originally created by Rothko in 1957 titled " White Cloud Over Purple ", copyright 2002 Prolitteris, Zurich, private collection / Bridgeman Art Library.

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and individual. Rothko is considered top be one of the most important American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print Abstract Expressionist framed Modernist poster measures 24 7/8" W X 33" H X 1 1/2" D. It is custom framed with UV Protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern natural white maple wood satin finish museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
