This platter … Read more Antique Mid-to-late 19th century Chinese hand painted Rose Medallion platter. The rose medallion pattern first began around 1840. This platter is decorated with hand-painted flowers, butterflies, birds, fruits and figural court/nobility scenes. The bottom ring is unglazed. Painting is very detailed and delicate with vibrant colors. There is a small amount of wear around the rim consistent with the age of this Chinoiserie piece. This piece is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Beautiful on a table top, hutch, cabinet, fireplace mantle. This goes with so many decor styles and table settings like French, English, Americana, modern, midcentury, and of course, Asian! See less
