Wear and tear commensurate with age and indicative of use. Paint is high quality and attractive, but somewhat primitive, with light scattered areas of orange spotting, oxidation and patinated metal finish. Some small imperfections such nicks to paint. Iron base is sturdy and very well constructed. Overall, this is a highly presentable hand painted piece with light wear, lots of antique character, rustic charm and artistic depth, it's functional and highly decorative. less

A superb example of functional art, it is exceedingly rare, likey a one-of-a-kind Parisian work, featuring highly ornate hand-crafted ironwork, artistically finished in sophisticated period Art Nouveau taste.
Exceptionally executed, the impressive late 19th century masterpiece standing over six feet tall, the dark maroon painted wrought iron rack showcases intricate ironwork and very fine quality detail, complete with stylized rose and trailing vine motif.
Polychrome decorated, elaborate dimensional metalwork floral blossom design, twirling wrapped fiolate, gilt flower finial, ornate swiveling tubular scrolling 24 hook top, single pedestal rising on decorative scroll openwork tripartite form base stand.
