Charming set of antique porcelain beverage coasters featuring a dancing Dutch boy & girl in traditional dress. Porcelain center medallion encircled by a silver gallery rim. Fabricated by the German ceramics house, Sternauware, they date to C.1914. Mark on underside "6081". It appears that the typical country of origin mark has been intentionally removed from each -- perhaps during one of the World Wars when Germany and the U.S. were on opposite sides?
Good condition -- vibrant colors, no chips, no cracks; age and use wear to the silver rim.
