I used mixed media elements of Chinese Lantern plant dried … more I created this encaustic painting titled "Chinese Lanterns" in 2020.
I used mixed media elements of Chinese Lantern plant dried seed pods as three-dimensional elements. With a mixture of oil and wax paint, I wanted to capture the grace and movement of these elegant plants in the garden.
It measures 12" tall by 9" wide by 2" deep and is painted on a cradled wood panel. It's easy to hang from two nails and sits flat on the wall.
The edges are painted to extend and finish the painting. less
