Exquisitely hand-crafted in England or the United States in the first half of the 19th century, this high class wall hanging mirror shows off superior craftsmanship, wood character and exhibition presentation quality.
A finely detailed spread wing perched Phoenix eagle crest surmounts the classical architectural scrolled broken pediment topped figured mahogany frame. The original vertical rectangular mirror is flanked by intricate hand carved gilded wood floral foliate garland swags and gold leaf gardroon ornamental trim.
