Description: Chinese DeHua porcelain Kuan Yin seated on a rocky outcrop amid roiling ocean waves and water lilies, with her right … more Chinese DeHua porcelain Kuan Yin seated on a rocky outcrop amid roiling ocean waves and water lilies, with her right foot resting on an ocean carp transfiguring into a dragon, the ocean carp's body formed of octopus suckers. Kuan Yin's right and left hand are in Karana mudra, she is clothed in a flowing robe with a necklace and the crown of Amitabha, with arm and wrist bracelets and a coiffure of ornaments and long coiled braids, her left foot above a water lily bud and blossom. Exquisite fine realistic detail through out, down to Kuan Yin's fingernails. Impressed He Chaozong and DeHua mark on her back with two red iron characters below. Circa late 19th century, no later than early 20th. less
